I have to say based on that video, its not a amazing as some other videos I've seen from Sony. Good yes but not great. Is it possible Sony have done the ol' switcheroo? I saw a vid the other day that looked incredible - this just isn't as good for some reason. Also where is the weather/TOD? is that in a patch later!?! It really is a great system balanced with excellent software and OS support from MS.
They really listen to the preview community as well. The latest updates with the snap centre bring user experience more akin to the 360 pop up menu.

I think its worth remembering that both X360 and PS3 could output a 1080p screen if they wanted to.
I won't defend a 720p output because I think it is wrong but please don't suggest its a hardware failing. The machine is quite capable of 900p-1080p as demonstrated by most other titles.

I think this just helps clearly demonstrate how impressive this title was on X1 to start with.
PC bump to resolution and framerate to be expected but it doesn't look that different. smoother play is welcome.

As an xbox owner I have to say this looks hugely impressive. Such a step forward from the rather poor demo I played at EGX last year.

Probably one of the best demos I have ever played.

Multi plat parity is fine by me and I think you will find its preffered by developers as well from a business standpoint.
So 40-50% more power - do we still believe this? 60fps is where the minor differences in these consoles show imo. Parity will become more common with only exclusives showing hardware specific differences. I for one am happy with this and will get a PS4 for exclusives as I think X1 is the better 'platform'. Choose you console based on friends and features and be happy that the games will be about the same.

Don't get me wrong, graphically the game is very very impressive especially those clouds and weather effects. it was a serious question. if the console has 500 gflops extra gpu then it would be nice to see more than 30fps and have all the eye candy.

interesting. so they've done the opposite of forza 5 and gone with a lower frame rate to try and make it prettier with weather and effects.
So where is this 50% more power? why can't ps4 run the game at a smooth 60fps WITH the extra effects and weather system? that would certainly better project cars, Forza 5 and FH2 AND prove the potency of the hardware.

I'm also very surprised by that. To suggest that MS had pushed for 1080p. Strange indeed and counter to their PR about smooth gameplay.
I hope this isn't a trend where MS are trying to match PS4 'advantages' behind closed doors, yet say something else to the public.
MS should stick to their guns and play to the strengths of their system 900p and smooth 60fps is still a good place to be.
Totally agree, people were very quick to jump on it when it was suggested 720/30 (looking at a large section of N4SG crowd here). Now its 1080 I its a different story.
I don't know where the term eat crow comes from but it sounds quite apt.
